CM Punk has shared a rather chilling image to his Instagram story, referencing fellow WWE star Kofi Kingston.
Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series, with last night marking his first appearance on WWE Raw after almost ten years.
During his promo, he would address the reaction to his return, give a shout out to AJ Lee and tell the fans that he is ‘home’.
On the show, Seth Rollins would also vent about the return of Punk, referring to him as a ‘hypocrite‘.
The full segment from the Monday November 27 episode of WWE Raw can be seen below this news story.
The image Punk posted after the show, which can be seen below, was shared to his Instagram account and features the final panel from a comic book.
The comic book in question from Strange Fantasy Issue 13 from September 1954 with art by Iger Shop.
It comes from the story The Murder Pool in which the character of James Gorse plots to kill those he thinks have harmed him.
He has a pool built at his home and chooses to fill it with acid before inviting his ‘so-called friends’ for a dip.
His last guest would be his former wife who Gorse discovers has only months to live and has decided to kill him.
Shooting Gorse, he falls into the pool and dissolves in the acid, giving said ex-wife a heart attack.
In a ‘romantic’ finale, the couple are reunited as skeletons in the bloody pool.
And, it’s that final scene that CM Punk shared on Instagram, writing “Me and @truekofi (Kofi Kingston) backstage”.
