There has been a potential spoiler on two WWE stars set to return to the main roster on tonight’s SmackDown show.
Last month, Santos Escobar betrayed his brethren in the LWO, turning on Rey Mysterio after he lost the United States Championship to Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel.
Following the turn, Escobar laid out an ultimatum to Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde, who opted to side with Mysterio and the LWO, leading to Escobar also laying them out.
Following the turn, there has been rumours of Escobar recruiting other stars to be by his side, namely Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, who have recently been working on the NXT brand.
Per PWInsider, Garza and Carrillo are set to be at tonight’s SmackDown taping in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with the report also noting that there have been pitches for the two to get involved in the ongoing angle with Escobar and the LWO.
Escobar advanced in the United States Championship tournament with a victory over Dragon Lee on last week’s SmackDown show.
Former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes is also set for the show, with him taking part in the United States Championship tournament against Grayson Waller.
Tonight’s show is set to be a double taping of SmackDown due to WWE stars being given time off for the holidays.
