AEW talent Chuck Taylor is hopeful that he will be able to make an in-ring return after suffering what was called a career-ending injury.
On the April 27 edition of AEW Rampage, Trent Beretta defeated Chuck Taylor in a Parking Lot Fight.
The May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Orange Cassidy announce that Taylor was told he would not be able to wrestle again following Trent’s attack.
It was later reported that “the belief right now is that Taylor will not be able to wrestle anytime soon” and could have been the last match of his career.
In a recent interview on AEW’s YouTube channel, Taylor provided some insight into his wrestling future, saying:
“I can get surgery, and then, once I heal from that I can hopefully reassess.
“Maybe it’s me hoping.
“But we’ve seen a lot of guys and girls come back from ‘career-ending injuries’.”
With Taylor unable to compete in the ring, it was reported that he had been training as a coach and producer for months in AEW.
JJA Sport Studio wishes Chuck Taylor well in his recovery journey.
