Popular AEW star and current ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston says he respects Daniel Garcia, but not his choices.
On the December 16 edition of AEW Collision, Eddie Kingston defeated Daniel Garcia in the Blue League of the AEW Continental Classic tournament.
This marked Kingston’s second straight win in the tournament after starting 0-2, while Garcia is still winless at 0-4 so far.
Following his win on Collision, AEW cameras caught up with Kingston backstage where he spoke about his victory and Garcia. He said:
“You guys want to talk after the matches but this was this was a hard one. Dog. I respect Danny. I don’t respect his choices.”
“But what he showed me tonight was the fire and the grit that I saw before he went with Jericho and everybody.”
“You know what I’m saying and I don’t know, man, that kid took me, took me to my limit.”
“Humble in victory, humble in defeat, I’m humble, my knee hurts and uh. I got to move on, but Danny really showed me something tonight and I just hope he doesn’t fall into what the other young uns have fallen into.”
“Garcia. I’m going to talk to you straight up here. Do not fall for what everyone else does. Be your own man. Stand on your own two feet. You do not need anybody or anyone.”
“Andrade you’re next. It’s a must win for those who don’t know and I’ll handle that when it’s time.”
On the December 23 episode of AEW Collision, Eddie Kingston will face Andrade El Idolo in their final Blue League match. Meanwhile, Garcia will face Brody King in the Continental Classic on the same show.
If Kingston should defeat Andrade, he will advance to the Blue League Final with 9 points and tiebreaker wins over both Andrade and Claudio Castagnoli.
